    Description

Decorative Porcelain Wall Plate dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Soviet Victory over Germany, made by the Baranivka (aka Baranovka) Porcelain Factory in Ukraine, 1995 issue.
Measures 6.5" (17 cm) in diameter. Beautiful hand-painted artwork features the Soviet Order of Victory, dates 1945-1995 and floral motif in Ukrainian national manner. The plate has provision for wall mounting on the back and shows maker mark of Baranovskiy Porcelain Factory (in the town of Baranivka, Zhitomir Region, Ukraine).
The plate is in EXCELLENT condition; the colors are nice and bright. There are no chips or flakes, and the glaze is free of noticeable scuffs. This plate was made in the independent Ukraine soon after the collapse of the USSR, long before the relationship with Russia went sour. It was probably meant as a gift to a Ukrainian WW2 veteran. Of course, these days no Ukrainian factory would produce anything with patriotic Soviet artwork, but things used to be very different back in 1995!
This attractive, easy to display piece can be a nice addition to a WW2 Soviet collection! Please note, we have a couple of these plates in stock, and our photos show an example. They are in the same perfect condition as in the photos.
